Artist's Comments

It is difficult to find a beach without any evidence of intrusion made by man. In these images what would normally be a lovely beachscape is now obstructed by a pipe, a jetty, a building, or even an old sunken ship; forgotten entities slowly decaying in the sea. Yet the photographs are still beautiful, as if these objects have been a part of the scenery since the beginning of time.

So now we are forced to ask ourselves some questions: What is nature? What is beauty? Must we stress absolute preservation? Or can we ultimately accept the gradual integration of humankind's mark in the environment?

Shot with a Hasselblad 500CM

*****Also included in the project but has been previously posted are the photos titled "Cape May, NJ 5:13 PM" and "Cape May, NJ 5:05 PM".********

"Practico la alegria y no es un capricho cualquiera, un dia descubri que cuanto mas la gastas mas te queda"
That's funny, people usually think it's small and then get surprised by how big it really is (which is about 10ft.)
